A few things to know when planning your trip to Currajong Retreat


Located on Angora Goat farm Currajong Common, in the Towamba Valley, Bega Valley Shire near to Eden, Merimbula, and Bega, NSW.


Daily flights from Merimbula Airport operate to both Sydney and Melbourne.  The retreat is an easy 45 minutes drive from Merimbula Airport.

Both Singapore Airlines and Qatar Airlines fly into Canberra Airport which is a picturesque 2.5 hour drive from Currajong Retreat.  Using Canberra as an arrival destination would allow an easy self drive option to find us.

To secure a booking a deposit of $300 per booking is due.  The balance is due once you check in at our retreat. Any additional costs are due at check out. (credit card to charge for breakages)

Minimum Stay

A  minimum stay of two nights is required over any weekend.  All our bookings are dinner, bed and brunch packages.

Arrival & Departure

Check in | from 2PM – 4PM

Check out | from 10AM – 11AM

Late check in’s are not recommended.  Country roads to the Retreat have limited mobile coverage and there is a great deal of Australian wildlife found on the roads at night.

Dining & Drinks

Currajong Retreat provides personalised accomodation and dining experiences, all inclusive. Personalised meal choices are offered and a unique selection of Australian wines, beers and ciders and non-alcoholic beverages are stocked.  We cater for vegetarian, gluten and dairy free diets if advised in advance.

You have the choice to enjoy a meal at the homestead, or request a private meal in your tented accommodation. During the cooler months, and when the weather allows, dinner may be served at the bonfire in the ‘Currajong Common Boma’.

Our breakfast hamper celebrates our finest local produce from the South Coast region, delivered to your doorstep for your convenience. Brunch is at your leisure, as we believe holidays are for relaxing and sleeping in. We will provide all the ingredients to create a delicious local spread.


To ensure that all guests have a pleasurable stay, we ask everyone to please be mindful of others around you.

Noise curfew- 10pm

Although our tents are a considerable distance from one another, please be conscious that tents are not soundproof and you would be surprised how noise travels in the silence of the valley.


WiFi and mobile phone reception is limited, so enjoy the time to switch off from technology and enjoy the natural surroundings.

There is a mobile hotspot available at the Currajong homestead for your essential instagrammable moments.

A landline phone is available at the Homestead for calls within Australia only.  This landline service is also available 24 hours per day for emergency incoming calls as per request.


All visitors should ensure that they are adequately protected against the elements and bring suitable footwear for an outdoor environment.
