Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: 1st July 2024


These terms and conditions outline the agreement between Currajong Retreat and our guests. By booking with us, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms. We reserve the right to amend these terms at any time before your booking is confirmed.


A booking is confirmed when:

• You have made a booking and provided all required information.

• You have paid the deposit and any other required amounts in full.

• We have sent you a booking confirmation.

We reserve the right to decline bookings at our discretion. Should we decline your booking, any payments made will be refunded promptly.


Prices are quoted in Australian Dollars (AUD), inclusive of GST, and may change prior to booking confirmation. Payments by debit or credit card will incur a surcharge to cover processing costs.

A booking is only confirmed upon receipt of full payment.

A $250 credit card authorisation is held prior to arrival and released three days after check-out. Any damages or charges will be deducted from this amount.

Extra Person Rate

Each tent accommodates a maximum of two adults. If you wish to add an additional guest, please contact us directly to make a request. This will be considered on a case-by-case basis, depending on site occupancy.

If your dates allow for an additional guest, an Extra Person Rate will be charged per night.

Minimum Night Stay

A minimum two-night stay is required for all bookings. Full prepayment is necessary to confirm your reservation.


Cancellations and amendments must be communicated directly with us. For bookings made through travel agents, please contact them directly.

Free Cancellation Window

Cancellations made at least 30 days before the check-in date will not incur any cancellation fee.

24-Hour Change of Mind Policy

For bookings made more than 21 days before check-in, cancellations within 24 hours of booking are eligible for a full refund.

Non-Refundable Rates

Discounted non-refundable bookings cannot be cancelled or amended. No refunds will be issued under any circumstances.

Late Cancellation Fees

Cancellations within 14 days of check-in will incur a 50% fee of the total booking cost.

Partial Refund Policy

Cancellations made between 30 and 14 days before check-in will incur a 25% cancellation fee of the total booking cost.

No-Show Policy

Guests who fail to arrive without cancelling will be deemed as a no-show and charged the full booking amount.


Amendment requests are subject to availability. If alternative dates within 12 months are unavailable or unsuitable, and you notify us of your inability to attend the original dates, it will be deemed as a cancellation and applicable fees may apply.

Amendment requests must be made at least 21 days before check-in. Amended travel dates must fall within 12 months of the original check-in date.

Standard bookings allow for one date change free of charge for valid reasons. Additional changes will incur a $150 fee per booking. This excludes all non-refundable rates.

In the case of price differences, guests will be required to provide full prepayment upfront to confirm your changes.

Reducing the number of nights in a booking is considered a partial cancellation, and cancellation charges will apply.

Holiday and Peak Periods

Stricter cancellation policies apply during peak seasons and special events. Cancellations must be made at least 30 days in advance; otherwise, a 100% fee of the total booking cost will be charged.

This policy applies to bookings during the following New South Wales holidays:

• 1st January (New Year's Day)

• 26th January (Australia Day)

• Easter Weekend*

• King’s Official Birthday*

• Labour Day*

• 24th – 26th December (Christmas)

• 31st December (New Year's Eve)

*Please refer to the official Australian Public Holidays schedule for New South Wales, as dates may vary each year.

Force Majeure

Cancellations due to natural disasters, government restrictions, or other force majeure events will be processed without penalty.

If it is determined that your stay cannot safely proceed due to a force majeure event, or if you notify us within 14 days before check-in that you cannot attend due to such an event, we may:

• Reschedule your stay to mutually agreeable dates, or

• Cancel your stay and issue a credit voucher equal to payments received.

Endemic diseases, such as the flu, are not covered under this policy. COVID-19 is also excluded.

Refund Processing Time

Refunds will be processed within five business days and may take up to ten business days to appear on the guest's bank statement.


To help us personalise your stay, please complete the provided pre-stay guest preference sent to your email 14 days before your stay (one response per booking). If you do not receive a link to this form, please contact us directly.

If no response is received, we will attempt to follow up prior to check-in. If no contact can be made, we will assume no special requests or dietary requests are required, and food and drinks will be provided based on standard assumptions.

Dietary Requirements

Special dietary requests must be notified to us at least seven days before check-in through your pre-stay guest preferences.

Children and Pets

Due to our Biodiversity Plan, no pets are allowed. If pets are found on the premises, you will be vacated, fined $250, and liable for any additional cleaning and damage costs (including damage to livestock).

All guests must be 16 years or older. Children over the age of 16 years will be charged as per adult rate and must be accompanied by an adult 18 years or older. If you arrive with a child/ren, your booking will be deemed a no-show, and you will be asked to arrange alternate accommodation at your own cost.

Property Disclaimer

Currajong Retreat is situated in a natural environment with potential risks. This includes but is not limited to natural, geographical and ecological risks. While efforts are made to ensure guest safety, guests acknowledge that Currajong Retreat and its staff will not be liable for any death or injury or for any indirect or consequential loss or damage.



Check-in is between 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM AEST. Suitable photo identification is required.

A $250 credit card authorisation is held prior to arrival and released three days after check-out. Any damages or charges will be deducted from this amount.

Late Check-Ins

We encourage arrival before sundown due to wildlife on rural roads. If a late check-in is necessary, please contact us immediately.


Check-out is at 10:00 AM AEST on the date of departure. Early departures can be arranged, please speak to staff during your stay.


All rooms and amenities are smoke-free, including e-cigarettes. Designated smoking areas are provided and must be adhered to at all times.

Alcohol and Illicit Drugs

Service of alcohol may be refused if you are intoxicated or providing alcohol to a minor in accordance with NSW Responsible Service of Alcohol. Illicit drug use is strictly prohibited. We may ask you to leave if you are under the influence of illicit drugs.


You consent to receiving first aid from our staff if necessary, understanding that they are not qualified medical professionals. We will not be liable for any care provided. If you are unable to seek medical treatment that we reasonably consider require, you agree to reimburse us for any costs incurred in seeking medical treatment on your behalf.


Guests must follow the directions of our staff. Disruptive or unsafe behaviour towards yourself or others, may result in being asked to leave. No refund will be provided, and any additional costs incurred will be the guest's responsibility.

Noise Disturbances

Quiet hours are between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM.


Any damage, loss, or expense incurred during your stay due to breach of these terms will be charged to your credit card. This includes breakage, damage, excess cleaning, or additional guests beyond those declared.


Refunds under our cancellation policy will be processed as follows:

• Payments by credit or debit card will be refunded to the same card unless otherwise notified.

• Payments by bank transfer will be refunded to the specified bank account.

• Bookings through travel agents will be refunded to the agent.

Deemed Acceptance

If you book on behalf of another party, you confirm that you are authorised to agree to these terms and conditions on their behalf.

Image Release

We may use photographs or recordings of you during your stay for promotional purposes. You consent to this use without compensation. If you do not consent, please notify us in writing at least 14 days before check-in.

Lost Property

Items found by staff, where the owner is identifiable, will be returned by registered mail at the guest's expense. Unclaimed items will be held for three months before being donated to charity if not claimed.
